Camping with South Wales District Association (SWDA) is more than just finding great locations. It is about forming lasting friendships, sharing experiences and creating memories that stay with you long after the trip ends. We bring people together through organised meets, where members can enjoy the outdoors, exchange camping tips and explore new places with a welcoming group.
South Wales offers some of the most breathtaking landscapes for camping, from rolling hills and dramatic coastlines to peaceful valleys and historic sites. Whether you are pitching up under starry skies in the Brecon Beacons, enjoying the woodland air and sea breeze at Pembrey Country Park or taking in the coastal charm of Fontygary and Porthcawl, every trip is an opportunity to experience the natural beauty of the region.
With weekend gatherings and themed events through most of the year, SWDA brings like-minded adventurers together in a friendly and relaxed environment. Whether you are an experienced camper or just starting out, you will always find a warm welcome with us.

Our Region
As members of The Camping and Caravanning Club, you are never limited to one area. Camping with any District Association gives you access to a wide range of meets and events across the UK.
South Wales DA is proud to be part of the Cambrian and Wyvern Region, a thriving community built on friendship, shared experiences, and regional collaboration. Alongside West Wales DA, Gwent DA, Gloucestershire DA, Worcestershire and Herefordshire DA, and East Worcestershire DA, we form a strong network that welcomes campers from all backgrounds.
Each DA within our region hosts a variety of meets and events, offering something for everyone. Whether you prefer scenic escapes, social gatherings or historic locations, there is always an opportunity to explore and enjoy the best of camping.
You can easily search for social camping opportunities, including events hosted by South Wales DA, other District Associations, regional events, Temporary Holiday Sites, and Special Interest Section meets across the UK, using The Camping and Caravanning Club’s Out & About app. If event listings don’t appear as expected, logging out and back in can help refresh the database for the latest updates.

Join The Camping and Caravanning Club today to benefit from over 100 years of expertise as well as specially selected discounts tailored to our members. As soon as you are a member you will be assigned to a District Association (DA). This will be the closest DA to where you live and shown on your membership card. You are then free to go camping with any of the 93 DA's over 13 Regions in the UK.
